Meet Our Speakers

Katrina Blauvelt is the senior director of digital communications & story lab for The Home Depot. She is responsible for strategically driving messaging and engagement both internally and externally through creative communications programming and storytelling. Prior to The Home Depot, she led public relations, internal communications and community outreach at Philips Consumer Electronics, North America.

Lana Johnston is The Home Depot’s director of field communications. In this role, she is responsible for strategic communications for The Home Depot’s U.S. Stores and multiple business units. In her six years at The Home Depot, Lana has held several roles predominantly focused on enterprise communications and visual storytelling. She also worked to launch the company’s first creative and visual communications team, Story Lab.

Dave White is the Director of Home Depot Television (HDTV), the company’s internal broadcast and video production department. After beginning with The Home Depot as a store associate in Atlanta, Dave joined the HDTV team in 1991. In addition to leading the HDTV team, Dave serves as THD’s on-camera spokesperson for internal product knowledge and project know-how training videos as well as network television shows such as Lynette Jennings’ House Smart, The Today Show, FOX & Friends, and The Weather Channel.

Nick Smith is the senior manager of corporate communications for The Home Depot’s Outside Sales & Service organization, one of the company’s fastest-growing business units. In this role, he is responsible for driving engagement and alignment among a diverse associate base consisting of multiple remote and disbursed audience groups brought together following acquisitions. He has 13 years of corporate communications experience in Atlanta, including at Cox Communications and SunTrust.
