IABC/Atlanta has two awards programs: the Catalyst Award and the Golden Flame Awards.
Catalyst Award
The Catalyst Award is given to an individual communicator who has led the strategy and implementation of a significant change that helped propel their company or organization forward. Golden Flame Awards
The Golden Flame Awards program is a yearly event held by the IABC/Atlanta chapter to recognize excellence in communications. Awards are presented at the annual Golden Flame Awards Banquet, held in October, which highlights the achievements of local professionals and companies in a variety of categories, including print media, electronic media, graphic communications and media relations.
2011 Golden Flame Awards Winners
Winners of the 2011 Golden Flame Awards were announced at the gala on October 27. The event was held at the Fabulous Fox Theatre in Atlanta, where 83 communication projects received recognition: 22 bronze, 40 silver and 21 gold awards.
Not every category has a golden, silver and bronze winner. That’s because a certain point value must be achieved for each category. A category can have any combination of awards. Because the award level is based on a score, not the highest in the category, we can have multiple Golden Flame Awards, or none at all. Each entry wins or loses on its own merit.

2010 Golden Flame Award Winners
